Progessive Religion ???

I’d like to know why many progressive pundits use the bible to buttress their arguments.

The bible is simply an ancient, somewhat dubious account of history. Those that purport that it is THE final word are “bearing false witness” .

How do we know things? A contrast:

Science asks questions and works diligently to get answers. Scientists are constantly working to learn from their missteps.

Religion puts forward “answers” and then refuses to question anything about what they believe and punishes people if they dare to do so.

Using religious rhetoric in our progressive discourse has to be dropped. There is NOTHING progressive about religion!
